Now that I have teenage boys, it is my responsibility to teach them how to do their own laundry, along with other skills. “Girls like boys with skills” I say to them. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t.
I hate to clean and I hate to do laundry. I agree, that it’s a waste of my time. But what I tell my boys is, that I like a clean home and clean clothes. So knowing that it must be done, I take the least amount of my time to do it. I’m very efficient at all household tasks as a result.
And the Polyp by Helene Steiner is a very clever solution to the boys’ dirty clothes on the floor. The hole of the Polyp is concave so laundry won’t fall out, and when the basket is filled it can simply be removed from the wall and carried to the washing machine. Brilliant!
